Rev. Kevin M. Snow -- Biographical Information

Kevin was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia. He is a life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and developed his call to ministry at his home congregation, Vinson Memorial Christian Church.

Kevin attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Science in 2004. During his studies at Marshall, Kevin also worked at Madison Avenue Christian Church as a Youth Mentor, studying under friend and mentor, Rev. Thad Allen. Following undergraduate studies, Kevin received his Masters in Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, Kentucky in 2008. At LTS, Kevin served on the Master’s Committee, volunteered time as a Student Ambassador, was selected to preach in Chapel services as a senior, and received several awards including: the Chalice Press Book Award, George V. Moore: Field Education Award, and the R. Robert and Linda Cueni: Homiletics Award.

During his time in seminary, Kevin was also blessed with the opportunity to serve as Associate Minister at Oxford Christian Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. He has also devoted countless summers to West Virginia and Kentucky Disciples camps and conferences programs. Kevin recently co-keynoted West Virginia’s Mid-Winter Youth Retreat and directed West Virginia CYF Conference.

Kevin was ordained into the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) on May 31st, 2008, and began his Clergy Residency with Community Christian Church on August 1, 2008. He looks forward to deepening his spirituality, commitment to social justice, and Disciples identity alongside the members of CCC.
