9:30 a.m. Children’s Sunday School,
Ages 4 years – 8th grade

Activities Center Room 103

This class welcomes a wide range of ages. To accommodate such a wide range, our teachers provide a variety of learning activities each week.

Topics for study range from studying scripture on becoming "Peacemakers" to learning about celebrations such as the Psalms, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Ascension and Pentecost, and Personal Celebrations.

3 classes offered in the Activities Center

Children are invited to attend the first part of the worship service with their families. Following the Children’s Sermon, the children will be led to the Activities Center for Children’s Community classes.

Children Ages 4 years – 1st grade:
Good Shepherd Curriculum

Children Ages 2nd grade – 4th grade:
Good Shepherd Curriculum

Children Ages 5th grade – 8th grade:
No Miss Lessons for Pre-Teen Kids

 

 

 

The Good Shepherd Curriculum

The two younger classes are currently using the Good Shepherd curriculum. The Good Shepherd program encourages children to meet God and to wonder, work and respond within the realm of their relationship with God. The stories are told by the use of small wooden figures, felt, and laminated cardstock, followed by wondering questions to aid in recall. During the worship time, the children also experience the "Circle of Light," a time for reflection and prayer. Following the worship experience, the children can work at a variety of centers created to promote understanding and retention of the story.
